TheEliteExtremophile I get hints of Mike Oldfield and Frank Zappa throughout this record, with the latter comparison being especially reinforced with the frequent use of marimba. The mood is quite sunny overall, and I’m a big fan of the way the many synth tones interact with one another.

Every song bursts at its seams with technicolour joy, zipping and zapping in and amongst a whirlwind of compositional adventure. When I hear this music nothing else is important, nothing is wrong, and I am not afraid of anything. These compositions are some of the finest I've ever heard, and I'd feel comfortable recommending them to anyone. One of the most uplifting records you will ever hear. Favorite track: Too Beyond.

The new live EP by Ryan W. Stevenson's project reminded me, that this debut album must have been gone down the wishlist... If instrumental Canterbury stuff is your thing, this should be a no-brainer.
